Founded in 1976, Washington Lawyers for the Arts in a non-profit organization that is dedicated to

assisting artists of all media navigate the often-confusing world of legalese. The organization holds a monthly Arts Legal Clinic and hosts workshops specifically for artists on tax issues and copyright law. Staffed by volunteer attorneys, Washington Lawyers for the Arts can assist with intellectual property, tax, art and entertainment, and corporate legal issues.

The winner of the 2001 Governor's Arts Award, Artist Trust is a non-profit organization that provides grants and career information solely for Washington State artists. Artist Trust projects include workshops, publications and an annual benefit auction.
Art Space Seattle

In a city where the skyline is always changing, Art Space works to ensure that artists always have a place within it. Art Space provides information and resources on artist housing and workspaces, and advocates for the development and need for space within the city. Currently, Art Space is working with the Delridge Neighborhood Development Association to develop a artist space in West Seattle.
Poetry & Art on Buses
Administered by King County Public Art Programs and the Department of Transportation, the Poetry & Art on Buses project is responsible for adorning Metro buses with the words of local scribes. Since 1992, Poetry & Art on Buses has helped spruce up the daily commute by displaying poems from both novice and experienced writers. New poems are selected yearly through a juried competition, and winning entries are also published in booklet form. Interested poets should e-mail Poetry on Buses to be put on the application mailing list.
Artech / Denman

Founded in 1966, Artech/Denman is the Seattle authority on fine art framing, display, and shipping. The shop offers a menu of custom framing services that includes gilding, frame restoration, and historical frame replicas - but that's just the beginning. Artech/Denman also provides art installation for private homes, museums, public art sites and sculpture gardens, and can assist with earthquake stabilization, sculpture restoration, and design needs. A 19,000 square foot climate-controlled facility is also available for short and long-term art storage.
