Tempero de Brazil
5628 NE University Way | ph: (206) 523.6229
As Seattle's only source for Brazilian cuisine, one might think Tempero de Brazil would relax its standards because of the lack
of competition. They don't. Spicy, tasty dishes from across Brazil come out of the kitchen, and are accompanied by a line of hot Caribbean drinks.
Although it's located on the less attractive side of the Ave., Tempero de Brazil still maintains a classy atmosphere.

Wild Ginger
1401 3rd Ave. | ph: (206) 624-0050
Wild Ginger is Seattle's trendy restaurant - the place to eat and to be seen eating at. But there's reason for this. In a town
with hundreds of remarkable Asian and fusion restaurants, Wild Ginger manages to stand out because it is wonderfully unique. The cornerstone
of the place is the satay bar, where diners watch chefs grill tasty skewers of lamb, boar, scallops, and more. For those who don't want dinner
on a stick, the non-satay entrees are superb, as well. Try the Mango Braised Pork, or the 7-Flavor Beef. Keep in mind that Wild Ginger's new
location, down the block from Benaroya Hall, makes it necessary to reserve a table in advance, especially on concert nights.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe
1225 First Ave. | ph: (206) 621-9653
Wolfgang Puck is the chef responsible for turning us all into pizza snobs, for making us want toppings like duck and goat cheese
instead of pepperoni and Italian sausage. He's also responsible for introducing us to concepts like "California Cuisine" and "Fusion"
cooking. So, when Mr. Puck opens a restaurant in your neighborhood, it's probably in your best interest to scoot in there and eat something.
Although it wasn't in Seattle's stars to get a Spago, we have been given the Wolfgang Puck Café. Not quite as glamorous as its Beverly
Hills cousin, it does feature some of the same recipes. You'll find trademark Puck cuisine, here - salmon pizzas, fusion salads - plus, the
added bonus of a sushi bar.
