MOLBAK'S
SEATTLE GARDEN CENTER
Opened by Danish immigrant Egon Molbak in
the mid-1950s, what germinated from one man's passion for gardening has blossomed into one of Washington's most popular
gardening spots. Molbak's sells seeds, supplies and a good many accessories for both indoor and outdoor gardening. However,
what really makes this shop stand out is the large collection of potted and blooming plants, 90% of which are grown on Molbak's
own 36 acres of farmland and controlled greenhouses. Keep green thumbs from turning black with Molbak's seminars on such
varied topics as orchid care, shade gardening, and composting.
