Northwest Chamber Orchestra
1305 4th Ave. Ste. 522 (Administrative Office) | ph: (206) 343.0445
Recognized as an outstanding orchestra in the United States and Europe, the Northwest Chamber Orchestra has recorded a number of CDs, and has even received an ASCAP award for "Adventuresome Programming." Local audiences can listen to them on KING FM radio broadcasts, or hear them live at Benaroya Hall and at monthly concerts at Volunteer Park.
Showbox
1426 First Ave. [ Downtown ] | ph: (206) 628.3151
Located in a deco building that originally housed a peepshow, The Showbox is the perfect venue for mid- to large touring bands (and they get plenty of them - from Motorhead to top indie, rap, and techno acts). Featuring tables and a large dance floor, The Showbox is big enough to comfortably accommodate crowds, but small enough for intimate performances. The new downstairs Green Room serves up swanky cocktails and appetizers nightly.
